Video – How To Create A Simple Download Page

In this quick video I will show you how you can create a simple but effective download page that you can use for paid products or free products that you are giving away in exchange for an email address. To do this I use an HTML editor called Kompozer Which you can download for free at http://www.Kompozer.net.

  1. Hey Coby,

Great video, very straight forward and easy to understand. Nice job, mixing it up by typing what you were talking about. Just keepin’ it real and showin’ us that little mistakes are no big deal, nice touch. Thanks for taking the time.

    • Hey Ken,

I’m glad you liked it 🙂 I try to keep it real and I try to make it simple because I honestly don’t really know all the fancy stuff because I haven’t needed to learn it…. I mean why waste the time when simple works :p

      Cheers,
      Coby

  2. Thanks for all your help yet again Coby. Autoresponder Magic is great and you’re making it all click together. In one week I aspire to master it all.

  3. I use Kompozer too. Pretty easy to use, and if I do it, I think anyone can do it too.

Good tutorial. I’ve just signed up to your list, you are providing very good value here. Waiting to see more material from you.

  4. Hi Coby I really liked the video and it is so easy. Making a download page is one of the things that I did not know how to do. Thanks to you I now know the procedure and I have downloaded Kompozer. Also I have finally installed magic content into my blog (I am a bit slow!) and followed your videos and am drip feeding the articles and yes it works. So I am really happy.

    Thank you so much

  5. Hi Coby,

Great tutorial, really explanatory. I did have one question though as I’m not the most tech-savvy: Does linking the download page on Kompozer
take care of everything so that an FTP wouldn’t be needed? Is all the functionality of downloading etc included?

    Thanks

    Jay

    • Hey Jay,

I think there is a way to connect via FTP straight from KompoZer.

However, I never use it – I always use a separate FTP client – normally FileZilla.

So, unless you set up the FTP within KompoZer you will still need to upload using your FTP or using your C-Panel.

      Cheers,
      Coby
